Venture West Coast – Project Manager
Gurden Consulting Ltd prepared the successful application to Government that established Venture West Coast, the inaugural economic development agency for the region. The Company also managed the entity throughout its three year existence before it merged to what is now Development West Coast.
Coupled with management of the entity, Gurden Consulting Ltd was involved in leading West Coast regional planning in the following key areas:
- the minerals industry establishing Minerals West Coast and preparing the entity’s strategic plan;
- broadband planning including the successful businesses cases and deployment of several million dollars of infrastructure;
- preparation of the region’s first digital strategy and the delivery of workshops, seminars and events throughout the region to assist technology uptake;
- regional transport planning; planning with the fishing and forestry industries;
- strategies in employment skills and
- education technology planning.
